Come join us for a Fireshed Brewshed get-together on 11/19 starting at 6:30pm at Second Street Brewery’s Rufina Taproom!
We’ll take some time to discuss current research pertaining the how wildfires impact the forests, mountains, and communities we care about.
The two papers up for discussion this time are listed below. Please review them before attending!

Optimizing Forest Management Stabilizes Carbon Under Projected Climate and Wildfires
D.J. Krofcheck, C.C. Remy, A. R. Keyser, and M.D. Hurteau
This paper uses the Greater Santa Fe Fireshed as a study location to investigate how optimizing management can reduce high‐severity fire risk and increase climate change mitigation by stabilizing forest carbon.
